Begin your journey at Piazza della Repubblica, once the center of Roman Florence. From here, your guide will take you through the city’s historic center, unlocking hidden stories and long-forgotten legends. At the Loggia del Porcellino, you'll rub the bronze boar's nose for good luck and learn the story behind this iconic sculpture. As you continue along Via delle Terme, you’ll come across the famous wine windows, once the secret wine-selling outlets of the city’s noble families. Arriving at Piazza del Limbo, you’ll discover the intriguing history of one of Florence’s oldest squares before indulging in a surprise tasting of a traditional Tuscan delicacy.
Crossing the iconic Ponte Vecchio, you’ll follow in the footsteps of history along the Vasari Corridor. This hidden passageway, once an escape route for the Medici family, holds many secrets of power and intrigue. In the Oltrarno district, Florence’s most genuine and lively neighborhood, you’ll discover the quaint and historic wine windows, or “buchette del vino.” These charming openings once bypassed taxes and middlemen to sell wine directly to locals. Today, many of these windows have been restored and provide a perfect opportunity for a one-of-a-kind photo. As you stroll along, your guide will share stories of these windows' role in Florentine daily life over the centuries.
